Born at Yalangerri near Jupiter Well, Patrick Olodoodi walked from his traditional country into the Old Balgo Mission and worked on the housing at the new Balgo site. He was involved in building the stone houses and the church in which, later on, he married Miriam Olodoodi, Lucy Yunkenbarri's sister. He is a senior Lawman and is responsible for upholding the traditional ceremonies for the country around Balgo, Kiwirrkurra and Walungurru (Kintore). Patrick Olodoodi commenced painting in the early 1980's and is a diligent and proficient painter.
